Flash drive recovery FAQ

  • Photo recovery SD card Mac OS and Windows OS are different from photo recovery performed in some ways. In case of the fixed hard disk there is always a chance of finding the deleted photos in the Recycle Bin or Trash as photos that are deleted do not directly get deleted without going through the Recycle Bin, unless such an option is selected. This gives the user an option to restore the deleted photos back to the location
from where they were deleted. However, in case of flash drives the scenario is different as the photos that get deleted do not reside in the Recycle Bin or Trash and get deleted permanently.
However, there are some common doubts that come to the mind of photo recovery software users during usage of the software. One of the main doubts among them is regarding the Preview option that is offered by most photo recovery software. The Preview option is a snapshot of the image that has been recovered but has not yet been saved. There are times when the Preview of the deleted or lost photo is shown but the image is not recovered. This happens because the snapshot details are contained in the header of the image file, and this would have been recovered while the actual image data might have got deleted.
In scenarios like this it is impossible for the user to recover photos from flash drive or any other storage media. The user therefore needs to understand that not all images whose screenshot is available can be recovered.
